Daryl Boyd and Mike Scannell spent a two weeks in Rwanda, Africa. Training their local Fire Department
Raul Ochoa, Jay Ibey, Scott Wilcox, Jose Garcia, Ryan Schleiger, Sergio Zavala, Steve Lund, and Carlos Mata spent a week in Fresnio, Zacatecas and trained 120 of their Firefighters in several disciplines of the Fire Service.

MDA Fill the Boot was a Hit! The DFA raised funds in excess of $20000 for the Muscular Dystrophy

Quest Burn relay came through Downey and the DFA donated $1000 to the Quest Burn Foundation.
American Cancer Society's RELAY FOR LIFE was an impressive event! We hosted a first aid booth and had six members rotate through the 24 hour event. The DFA donated $500 to the American Cancer Society.

The DFD will be hosting the 2010 Explorer Academy. The DFA will be utilizing our new trailer to provide lunch to the cadets and advisors on April 5th. We will need volunteers to help during this event. This would be a good opportunity to show our membership's unity. If you are interested, inquire with Pete Browne.

The DFA Trailer....Worth the Wait!

The Union Board has been hard at work to complete the "Trailer Project". The trailer is here and looks amazing (Strong work Stevo)! Many of you saw it when we unveiled it at the Retirement Dinner. We will be able to utilize this trailer not only for fundraising events, but for department functions as well. Hopefully it will bring a lot of positive attention to our cause.
